Quality Technician: Rockford, Illinois
Our customer in Rockford, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Quality Technicians to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for operating CMM equipment, performing inspections and testing, maintaining calibration systems, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and documentation.
Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:
- Program and operate CMM equipment, providing instruction and training to others.
- Perform advanced non-destructive testing (NDT), including magnetic particle testing.
- Maintain the instrument calibration system, ensuring all tools are calibrated and documented.
- Investigate returned products and document findings in the RGA database.
- Conduct inspections and generate quality documents like inspection reports and certificates of conformance.
- Support scrap/re-work processes and document corrective actions.
Quality Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Associate’s Degree in Quality Assurance or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of CMM operation experience, with Zeiss hardware and/or Calypso Software preferred.
- Proficiency with metrology tools and calibration systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles, SPC techniques, and blueprint interpretation.
Pay for Quality Technician: Starting at $26-36.25/hour.
