Maintenance Technician: Janesville, Wisconsin

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Coordinate and supervise administrative and operational activities in the maintenance areas through daily monitoring of the activities and tools available.
- Promote the development of the team’s technical and behavioral skills through training and coaching.
- Ensure the achievement of goals through an action plan, monitoring of indicators, compliance with standards, and team management.
- Manage the annual budget of expenses and investments and control through the analysis of reports on the expenses of the sector.
- Keep tabs on the annual expenses budget of the maintenance accounts of the productive areas.
- Execute the actions related to maintenance, controlling costs through budgeted versus performed monitoring, focusing on the fulfillment of goals and objectives.
- Develop suppliers of materials and services based on internal needs and new technologies.
- Promote continuous improvements in maintenance and production processes.
- Analyze the purchase needs for the relevant areas through the needs for replacement of parts and equipment for maintenance.
- Leverage actions that promote a good organizational climate by close attention to the personal and professional needs of the team.
- Assist in the preparation and control of the investment plan for the production sector by analyzing demand forecasts and the need for replacement and acquisition of new equipment.
- Plan and manage the execution of maintenance during shutdown periods.
- Stimulate the reduction of maintenance costs by sponsoring the development of new suppliers and service providers, the nationalization of parts, the internalization of services, and through the dissemination of new maintenance practices.
- Develop and manage projects from implementation phase to analysis phase.
- Prepare an annual training plan for the team based on the needs of current staff.
Maintenance Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical school degree and/or 2-3 years equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 5-year experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Excellent mechanical/electrical aptitude and ability.
- High math aptitude.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills including the ability to read, write and speak English.
- Good organizational skills.
- The usage of electronic devices is a prerequisite for the job.
- Ability to use hand tools and comprehend simple repairs.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must have verifiable troubleshooting experience in determining the causes of malfunctioning machines and how to repair them.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to understand the implications of new information for both present and future problem-solving and decision-making options.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Pay for Maintenance Supervisor: $70-80K based on experience
