Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift: Freeport, Illinois

Our customer in Freeport, Illinois, is seeking dependable individuals to join their team. We're recruiting for a Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift position to work full-time on overnight hours. As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist with machine pump-outs, perform basic handyman-type repairs, and help keep operations running smoothly throughout the facility. Training will take place on 1st shift before transitioning to 3rd shift.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

Perform machine pump-outs and clean equipment as needed.
Complete basic maintenance and handyman-type repairs using hand tools.
Assist with general facility upkeep and maintenance tasks.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Work in manufacturing environments that may involve dirt, grease, and other industrial conditions.

Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Comfortable using basic hand tools.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
Must be dependable and willing to work overtime when required.
Comfortable performing dirty or physically demanding work.
Must be able to pass a 4-panel drug test.
No felony convictions within the last 7 years; no violent criminal history.

Pay for Maintenance Technician: Starting at $19/hr.
