Robotic Laser Welder Operator: Machesney Park, Illinois

Our customer in Machesney, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their manufacturing team. We're recruiting Laser Robot Welder Operators to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Robotic Laser Welder Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating automated robotic laser welding equipment to produce quality parts according to established production, safety, and quality standards.

Candidates with experience as a welder, robotic welder, welding operator, machine operator, fabrication operator, production operator, or manufacturing associate are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities of the Robotic Laser Welder Operator:

Safely operate automated robotic laser welding equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
Load, position, fixture, and unload components and assemblies within robotic welding cells.
Start, stop, and monitor automated welding cycles to maintain efficient production.
Monitor equipment performance and identify alarms, abnormal conditions, and process deviations.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify welded components meet quality standards.
Utilize basic measuring and inspection tools as required.
Perform operator-level troubleshooting and corrective actions within established guidelines.
Maintain production goals while ensuring consistent weld quality.
Participate in training programs to develop robotic welding and automation knowledge.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area following 5S standards.

Robotic Laser Welder Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn robotic welding processes.
Ability to read blueprints and welding specifications.
Basic understanding of manufacturing and automated production environments.
Knowledge of robotic welding cell operations preferred.
Understanding of laser welding fundamentals preferred.
Familiarity with HMI/machine controls and automation systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to safely lift up to 60 pounds.

Pay for Robotic Laser Welder Operator: Starting at $25/hour.
